NIT Meghalaya 2024 Recruitment Eligibility Criteria
Here are the eligibility standards you should meet to become eligible for NIT Meghalaya Recruitment 2024
Assistant Professor (Grade-II)
Candidates must have a Ph.D. degree in the relevant discipline. The salary package for Grade-II is in Pay Level 10.
Assistant Professor (Grade-I)
Applicants must have the Ph.D. degree with 3 years experience of post-Ph.D. teaching or research at a reputed institute. The salary package is in Pay Level 12.
Department-Wise Specializations
The eligibility for a candidate varies according to their qualification and specializations. For example, if the candidate apply for positions of civil engineering field, then they must have experience in environmental engineering or water resources.
If they want to apply for mechanical engineering, then they must have experience in machine design. If the applicants do not meet the eligibility according to specialization, then they are not eligible for NIT Meghalaya Recruitment 2024
Application Fee
The NIT Meghalaya has set the some application fees on candidates. They need to pay fees to submit their applications. It is non refundable fees. The General, EWS, OBC category candidates need to pay Rs 1000 fees. SC, ST, PWD, and women candidates do not need to pay any fees.

- Go to the ‘Careers/Faculty Recruitment’ section or check the advertisement for Assistant Professor positions.
- If you are new to the website, tap on the ” register” button. In registration, fill in your personal details such as name, contact details, and email.
- Now, access the application form and start filling in your personal and educational details in the form.
- Upload your documents in specific formats, such as mark sheets, educational certificates, caste certificates, etc.
- Go to the Payment section, and choose the payment method to pay your application fees.

Selection Process
The candidates will shortlisted for faculty positions in the NIT department through the selection process. Here are the various stages of the selection process

Salary Details
The candidates who will selected for NIT Meghalaya faculty positions will get a salary, as per the 7th Central Pay Commission ( CPC). The faculty members will also get allowances such as dearness allowance ( DA), house rent allowance ( HRA), and other benefits, according to institute policies. Here are salary pay scales
