The Department of English was established in the year 2002, B.A English & Literature course started in the academic year 2013-2014 and MA English started in the academic year 2022-23. The Programme was started with an expectation to develop an understanding of English Literature along with language skills. The students get acquainted with the different forms of literature like poetry, prose, fiction and drama. The courses offered enable the students to get exposed to advanced level of grammatical patterns and usages in English and also to enhance their communication skills.
