Entrepreneurship development club with a view to meeting the present challenges in the unemployment problems prevailing in the liberalised, privatized and globalised economy and also to creating a new entrepreneur trend and culture in the State of Kerala, the Department of Industries, Govt. of Kerala, has launched the Entrepreneurship Development Clubs in colleges. The major objective of the club is to motivate the members to venture into industrial activity to change the negative mindset and attitude prevailing in the State on initiating or taking up entrepreneurship as a career, to educating the members on various incentives offered by various financial agencies like the development banks and other promotional agencies and to guiding the members on how to formulate project ideas and plans.
Ackhmica college , Thozhiyoor also joined this stream of the Govt. of Kerala by establishing the Entrepreneurship Development Club (which is known as the ED Club) in the academic year 2017-18. After formation, the ED club has conducted a series of entrepreneurial awareness programme the College. The ED Club consists of 50 student members from various departments.
