The University of Calicut has introduced mandatory Audit courses for Undergraduate (UG) students who were admitted from the academic year 2019 onwards. These courses do not contribute towards the calculation of Semester Grade Point Average (SGPA) or Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA). They are designed to provide additional knowledge and skills to the students and are not meant for classroom study.

Procedure

  • There shall be one Audit course in each of the first four semesters.
  • No classroom study required for these courses
  • Only a pass grade (Grade P) is awarded for these courses.
  • At the end of each semester, the college will conduct an examination using a question bank provided by the University.
  • The list of passed students must be sent to the University by the colleges before the fifth-semester examination.

The Audit courses aim to enhance the overall educational experience of UG students at the University of Calicut by providing the option to take online courses, the University encourages students to explore additional learning opportunities outside the regular curriculum.
